19th Annual HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals

Attend the 2014 HVACR & Mechanical Conference!

The 2014 Conference for Education Professionals is moving to a new location in suburban Baltimore, Maryland. The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) is just minutes from the Thurgood Marshall BWI Airport and provides 24-hour complimentary shuttle transportation from the airport and BWI Amtrak Station. This is the 19th annual industry sponsored workshop dedicated to enriching the skills and technical knowledge of instructors at all levels, including career/technical educators, professional trainers, and engineering professors.

The Conference is underwritten by ACCA , ACTE, AHRI, CARE, PHCC, SkillsUSA, OESP, HRAI, IAQA, NATE, ASHRAE, RSES, HARDINAFAPAHRA and the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation. The program will provide technical information and resources to help develop technologies and teaching techniques that will enable instructors and administrators to effectively train the next generation of skilled workers in the HVACR and mechanical industries.

Why Attend?

The three-day conference provides participants with the opportunity to attend an array of workshops and technical sessions presented by industry and education professionals covering the latest topics and advances in the HVACR, mechanical, and plumbing industries. The exhibits and receptions will provide networking opportunities with industry association staff, industry experts, and other education professionals.

Justification Letter

This letter explains how instructors will benefit from the conference. Instructors are invited to utilize it when requesting funding from administrators.
 
Registration
 
There is no registration fee to attend the Conference for Education Professionals. The cost is underwritten by the 16 event sponsors. Please register by completing the online registration form by February 21, 2014, listing the sessions you wish to attend. Full descriptions and presenters will be added to the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals website in late January 2014. You will be able to modify your selections, if needed, by accessing your event registration here.

 

After February 21, register on site at the HVACR & Mechanical Conference Registration Desk in the Auditorium Corridor on the first floor of the Academic Building (Building #3) during the following times:

            Sunday, March 2:              2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Monday, March 3:             7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 4:            7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, March 5:       7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.


Spouse/Guest Registration

The registration fee for a spouse or guest (not a business colleague) accompanying a registrant is complimentary and entitles that person to attend the cocktail receptions in the exhibit area on Monday and Tuesday evenings, the Opening General Session on Monday afternoon, the closing Keynote Address on Tuesday afternoon, and the closing General Session on Wednesday. Spouses and guests are not permitted to attend the workshops and sessions. Spouse meal plans are available for a separate fee (see “Hotel Information” tab).

Meals for attendees registered with the CCMIT are included in the daily room rate beginning with dinner on the day of arrival and ending with lunch on the day of departure. If you are not registered with the CCMIT as an overnight guest or as a Day Guest, you will be asked to pay for your meals on an individual basis.
