Event Information
2016 Public Policy Symposium
Date: March 15 — 16, 2016
Location: The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection

The 2016 Public Policy Symposium is designed to bring AHRI members together with key public officials to discuss important issues facing the HVACR and water heating industry. The two-day event provides participants with the opportunity for face-to-face meetings with lawmakers and Congressional staff on Capitol Hill, and with key officials in federal agencies.  At the symposium you will:

·         Strengthen your understanding of prominent industry issues

·         Begin to establish - or strengthen - working relationships with your elected officials and members of their staff

·         Share your company’s concerns and ideas with key decision makers in the federal government

Who Should Attend: AHRI members are invited to participate in this important grassroots advocacy effort.  Regardless of your position in your company, the symposium will offer you the opportunity to hear first-hand from policy makers in Congress and key federal agencies, providing insight into policy ideas and potential federal regulations. This symposium is your opportunity to communicate the potential impact of federal policies on your company, its continued development, and the jobs it creates and maintains. Watch this video to learn more about the benefits of advocating for your company and the industry, and making your voice heard.

AHRI Coordinated Congressional Visits: AHRI members are encouraged to join meetings arranged by AHRI staff with offices of key members of Congress. The purpose of the meetings is to further establish AHRI’s role as the premier trade association of the HVACR and water heating manufacturing industry, while either establishing or enhancing your relationship with your own representatives. AHRI staff will coordinate small group meetings with House and Senate staff and members of Congress based on participants' geographic location or policy relevancy. AHRI will provide briefing materials and talking points.

Please note: If you choose to participate in the coordinated meetings, please attend only those meetings in your assigned schedule. This will ensure that the day runs smoothly.
