AHRI Golf Tournament #1- Blue Monster Course (12:30 PM - 5:00 PM)

With legendary architect Gil Hanse at the helm, the historic Blue Monster Course has undergone a complete redesign and has become a new golf course, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most challenging and spectacular golf courses in existence.

Already renowned the world over and rich with history, The Blue Monster at Trump National Doral is tougher, significantly longer, and more dramatic than ever before. It was restored to its past grandeur in mid-2014 thanks to the vision of The Trump Organization, which acquired golf course architect Gil Hanse to meticulously re-sculpt every hole. The 7,590-yard course features a series of strategically placed deep bunkers, long flowing fairways, interesting undulating greens, deep Bermuda rough and a challenging assortment of water hazards – all of which combine for a course that requires both length and finesse to score well.

The famous 18th hole is traditionally ranked as one of the most difficult on the PGA Tour. It is no surprise that virtually every great name in golf has had a moment of personal triumph on this world-class course (Jack Nicklaus won twice, Greg Norman three times, and Tiger Woods four).

Tournament will be scored using the Modified Stableford scoring system.

Cost is $425 per person. The fee includes a required double bag walking caddie, caddie gratuity, green fees, use of practice facility (including sufficient practice balls), professional management of tournament, personalized scorecards, bag handling gratuity, taxes, box lunches, and beverages. Golf commitment may be cancelled without financial obligation until October 27, 2017. After October 27, the fee will not be refunded. Player substitutions are allowed; email kfonnett@ahrinet.org.

If you bring your own clubs, you may store them at the resort for the duration of your stay. Upon arrival, you may leave your golf bag with the valet/bell staff. If you need your clubs at any time during your stay, simply notify the golf shop or any golf staff.  For those playing the Red and Gold courses, your clubs will be preloaded on your carts, the day of the tournament. For those playing the Blue Monster, a walking caddie will greet you and you will proceed on foot to each hole, while enjoying the scenery around you.

Because we will use the Modified Stableford scoring system, it is important that you include your handicap on the registration form. Please include this information in the “Registration Questions” section of the Event Registration.

Rental clubs for men and women are available at the Golf Club for $85 per set (plus 7 percent tax) per day per set and includes two sleeves of golf balls. Please indicate in the space provided for your foursome request if you wish to rent right- or left-handed clubs.

Acceptable attire: collared shirt, long pants, or walking shorts.

Unacceptable attire: t-shirts, tank tops, athletic shorts, cut-offs or jeans. Metal spikes are not allowed.

AHRI Golf Tournament #2- Golden Palm Course (12:30 PM - 5:00 PM)

The Golden Palm Course was resurrected by Gil Hanse's team with design elements similar to the iconic Blue Monster. The course offers a variety of wide open vistas and tight, tree-lined fairways with heavily contoured greens that will require a smooth putting stroke and a soft touch for success. The Golden Palm is also home to a very unique bunker style with tight-cut, clean-edges from the fairway and heavy rough around the back side of each bunker that presents an element of difficulty you might find in the Australian countryside. The design, quality, and attention to detail creates a difficult golf course for all skill levels and makes The Golden Palm a true championship course capable of hosting the best players in the world.

Cost is $220 per person. The fee includes green fees, cart fees, use of practice facility (including sufficient practice balls), professional management of tournament, personalized scorecards, bag handling gratuity, taxes, shotgun time start, box lunches, and beverages. Golf commitment may be cancelled without financial obligation until October 27, 2017. After October 27, the fee will not be refunded. Player substitutions are allowed; email kfonnett@ahrinet.org.
